Luis Espinosa serves as Vice President of Marketing for FECR. In his post, which he has served in since 2001, he oversees marketing, sales, and public relations for the company and its projects. To ensure the efficacy of the programs, Luis works directly with Mr. Hollo and the corporate directors of the firm and liaises with project managers and advertising/public relations agencies commissioned for each current and upcoming project.
Luis develops and implements advertising and marketing strategies for the firm’s entire commercial and residential rental portfolio, including Opera Tower, a 635-unit residential tower in Miami’s Arts & Entertainment District; 1101 Brickell, 300,000 square feet of recently-renovated office space in two glass-walled towers; 2020 Ponce, a 130,000 square foot premier office tower in Coral Gables; and Villa Majorca, a charming upscale residential community also in Coral Gables. He also currently oversees the marketing efforts for Colonnade Plaza and One Bayfront Plaza in Downtown Miami. Further, Luis was instrumental in the successful marketing campaigns and subsequent sellouts of the Club at Brickell Bay, which comprises 643 luxury condominiums, and Quayside Town Homes, consisting of 96 residences on Biscayne Bay in North Miami.
Luis boasts over 20 years of experience in the field, having held management positions at Knight Ridder Miami Herald and Southland Corporation. As Real Estate Marketing Director for the English-language Miami Herald and Spanish-language El Nuevo Herald from 1995 to 2001, he developed and implemented advertising strategies for local real estate developers, and his initiatives earned the publication the largest increase in new business. While there, Luis was honored with the Award of Excellence for new business in the Real Estate category, Outstanding Performer in Real Estate for two consecutive years, and the Excellence Award for Outstanding Contributor Outside Sales Classified Real Estate.
At Southland Corporation, Luis enjoyed a 14-year tenure as Marketing & Sales Director, where he was responsible for marketing and sales within the Central Florida region for 7-Eleven. He supervised and managed over 150 employees and brought in an average of $2 million per year in net profits. His achievements included developing new image promotions for stores in Orlando and being nominated for Sales Director of 1987.
Luis is a graduate of St. Thomas University with bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Marketing. He also is active in supporting the various funds of St. Agnes Academy and Church on Key Biscayne. Luis is a former vice president and commissioner of sports programs at Westchester Optimist Club of Kendall and is a past member of the Latin Builders Association and the South Beach Hispanic Chamber.
